OMG!  All the baby geese have hatched!  And they are flying all over the place!  Fawn Lake is loaded with them!  Your quilting space may be too!!  They’re everywhere!  AND aren’t they just the cutest little flying geese you ever saw?  Or they will be after you do this clue!!!!  LOL!!  Have fun!!!

Summer Stars at Fawn Lake  –  Clue #3

Note:  In the last clue I mentioned that, if you choose to, you may want to kind of match your 2″ (1 5/8″) into sets of 4 that are similar.  You will be using those sets here.  However, it is totally acceptable to just use random colors etc.  These geese will end up as star points so just a heads up for later.

Using one  3 1/2″ (2 3/4″) background square and two 2″ (1 5/8″) colored squares, place both colored squares on the background square right sides together as shown below.  Draw a diagonal line down both colored squares and sew 1/4″ on each side.

Cut on the center line and press as shown.

Place one 2″ (1 5/8″) colored square on each segment as shown.  Draw a diagonal line and sew on each side as before.

Cut apart on center line and press to make four flying geese.  Trim geese to 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ ( 1 1/4″ x 2″). Keep in sets if you choose.

Now aren’t they just the cutest little geese you ever saw?????

Use all 96 – 3 1/2″ (2 3/4″) background squares to make 384 cute little baby geese!     Make sure you trim these little guys or they wont fit the next step.  Yup, all 384 of them!  No groans!!!…….and as Bonnie says “No Whining!”

LOL!  You guys are the BEST!!  Have fun!

The next clue will be on April 11 at 7 p.m. EDT.
