I heard all about Scrapitude last year through Sandy’s podcast. I’m hoping to participate this year in Scrap in a Box. Quick question: What do I need to do to follow your blog?

    Hi Charlotte,
I have a question about the 6–1.5 ” x WOF strips. I’m working with fat quarters. I thought I would just sew 1.5″ strips together to get the WOF length. Will I have problems if I do that?

Nope, that will work just fine. Don’t worry about the seams.

I cannot seem to print the cutting instructions. I have tried everything I can think of. I even went elsewhere and printed something just to make sure it wasn’t my printer. Is there a trick on this site I don’t know about?

    Thanks.

Hi Florence, I’m sorry you are having a problem printing. I right clicked on the page and it let me do it. If that doesn’t work for you I don’t know what else to say. I’m not the greatest techie for sure but I’ll ask if there is something else I should or could do. Thanks.

Someone told me to copy and paste and that worked for me so all is good. Thanks. Totally looking forward to this even though I haven’t gotten my fabric ready yet. Going to go work on that now.

Hi. I am so excited to make this quilt. I am new to this and found it on Sandy’s Quilting for the rest of us blog . I love the pictures from the 2014 quilts. Could you tell me approximately what the yardage measurement is for the background-white? I’m just finishing cutting but still need to cut the white.
    Thanks!!

Hi Anne, I’m figuring 1 1/2 yards should be plenty for the background. So glad you found the site! Sandy is a good quilty friend and her blog is great, too. Have fun!

Just looking at cutting instructions. Since I plan to use my Easy Angle Ruler for HST’s would I be getting ahead of myself if I paired the white strips with the scrappy strips to cut these in the 192 pairs it appears we will be doing.?

  • Charlotte Hawkes
    January 8, 2015

Hi Marsha, I’m thinking you might want to wait on pairing those HSTs.
